What incredibly beautiful soulful music… four minutes of bliss!
Incredible Musical Instruments
If you have an imagination, anything may occur. Take a look at this Sapporo Beer commercial. It sets a new standard!
The song touches me to my soul, I can’t even express how profoundly it effects me every time that I hear it… This is a very strong ecological statement and it makes me so sad
You have to love the engineering and the imagination put into this!
Read this first, then watch. This incredible machine was built as a collaborative effort between the Robert M. Trammell Music Conservatory and the Sharon Wick School of Engineering at the University of Iowa.
Amazingly, 97% of the machines components came from John Deere Industries and Irrigation Equipment of Bancroft, Iowa. Yes, farm equipment. It took the team a combined 13,029 hours of set-up, alignment, calibration, and tuning before filming this video but as you can see, it was well worth the effort. It is now on display in the Matthew Gerhard Alumni Hall at the University and is already slated to be donated to the Smithsonian.
Just so you are a little prepared, balls (hundreds if not thousands during the performance) come out of a tube, hit an object (remember – tractor parts) and sometimes multiple objects before going back into another tube. Of all the balls you will see, NOT ONE hits the floor!!
